One might think of this as my blog, version 3.0. I started my very first blog as a teenager, and I shudder to think of the ridiculous, angst-filled, self-important drivel that it contained. Fast forward through a few years and a discontinued second blog, and here we are. We’ll see how long I can keep this up.
As for me, I am a happily married law student in my mid-twenties. My husband and I recently moved to New England with our loveable mutt, Harley, and are still getting used to living with this thing called “snow.” We both miss California. I spend a lot of time reading casebooks for class, but when I can extricate myself from those I also enjoy reading for pleasure. Depending on my mood, that might mean political philosophy, 18th century French literature, fantasy novels, military history or books from my childhood (the Anne of Green Gables series springs to mind). I have eclectic taste in music (or no taste, depending on who you ask). I like to play computer/video games, love chocolate but not chocolate ice cream, and really enjoy cooking and baking. I am still on the lookout for a great ma po tofu recipe, so if you have one let me know.
As you might surmise from the name of this blog, I drink a lot of coffee. It’s how I get through the day without (a) killing anything or (b) walking around like a zombie. I enjoy both lattes and vanilla, but somehow I managed not to discover the vanilla latte until a few years ago. Now I’m hooked.
Oh, and the picture in the blog heading? That’s Emerald Bay, in Lake Tahoe. Gorgeous, isn’t it?
